Details about Iranian SAIPA cars for Russia - Prices, options and sales.

SAIPA - The Iranian company will launch sales of its cars in Russia in September. How much do they cost, what is included in the model and why there are few “warm” options in them

The Iranian company SAIPA, during the opening of the first official show in Moscow, presented the start of car sales in Russia. The distributor of these cars is the Lucky Care company, and the Major Auto dealer will be responsible for the sale of the models.
Currently, the SAIPA model range in Russia consists of three models. Thus, the Iranians brought to the market the cross-hatch Quik, which was created on the X200 platform - a modernized version of the running Ford Festiva/Mazda 121 model of 1986. The car is equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with a power of 87 hp. The unit can work in conjunction with a five-speed gearbox or CVT.
The third car in the model line is the large and large Shahin sedan. The car is similar to the Toyota B platform. Under the hood of the four doors is a 1.5 liter turbo engine with an output of 110 hp. and 178 N•m of torque. The gearbox is a five-speed manual only.

Previously, SAIPA company representatives announced plans to bring to Russia the P90 sedan, which is a deeply modernized first-generation Renault Logan. However, this model has not yet been presented in the capital’s show. Whether it will appear on the domestic market in the future is unknown.
What options and options are offered and why there is no heating
The list of available options for these Iranian models can hardly be called impressive. For example, the Quik cross-hatch will be available in two trim levels at the start of sales - ST and ST-A. In the initial version, the car received ABS, air conditioning, rear parking sensors, electrically adjustable side mirrors, an air temperature sensor, and heated rear windows. In the older version, this set is complemented by cruise control, a button to start the engine, a keyless entry function, a seven-inch multimedia system display, a rear view camera and a tire pressure monitoring system. The situation is similar with the list of useful equipment for the Saina S sedan.

The Shahin car, judging by the info booklet in the showroom, initially the car will have only one configuration. The car will go on sale with two airbags, anti-lock brakes, a sunroof, power driver's seat, power windows, air conditioning, a rear view camera, a tire pressure monitoring system and central locking. However, all three models do not have heated seats throughout the cabin.

According to a representative of the dealership, they hope that the list of Iranian trim levels will be significantly expanded. Thus, SAIPA models are available in six versions on the local market. Domestic sellers expect that over time all these modifications will become available in Russia. In addition, employees of the trading company admit that they are waiting for the range of options to be expanded, for example by adding heated seats.

“We have the ability and desire to change and modernize our cars to meet the needs that exist in Russia. To do this, we will use data from reports from our market research partner. SAIPA machines will be even more comfortable,” said SAIPA Vice President for Purchasing and Export Kourosh Kamankesh.

When will sales begin on Russian markets?
Iranian SAIPA cars were supposed to go on sale in Russia in June 2023. This date has been moved to the end of September. As the interlocutor explained, the delay is primarily due to obtaining a Vehicle Type Approval (VTA), without which it is impossible to start selling cars in our country.

Representatives of the Major center said that they expect deliveries of the first cars in the first month of autumn. According to them, the show now contains so-called exhibition samples. At the same time, anyone can now place an order for the car they are interested in

How much will these cars cost?
All three SAIPA models have already received a ruble price tag. At the same time, a representative of the dealership stated that we are talking about the “maximum cost” of the cars. In turn, the director of the Lucky Care company promised to do everything possible to try to negotiate with Iranian colleagues to reduce the price tag for their cars on the Russian market.

The cost of the SAIPA model in Russia, the Saina S sedan, is 1,220,000 rubles. Those wishing to purchase the Quik cross-hatch will have to pay 1,500,000–1,600,000 rubles.
Shahin sedan. a four-door with a 1.5-liter engine and a manual transmission was estimated at 2,050,000 rubles.
What competitors do these cars have?
As a representative of the Iranian brand explained, competitors are from China.
In addition to sedans and hatchbacks, the SAIPA model range also includes crossovers. For example, among them are the recently introduced SP0 Mini SUV and Atlas. However, the Iranians are not yet in a hurry to bring SUVs to our market.

“We plan to occupy the niche of the B-class, where the Chinese auto industry is not so actively present. As for hatchbacks
